| 介紹 | Touralloy 230 Plus stainless is a martensitic, precipitation/age-hardening stainless steel in Carpenter's Touralloys? family of alloys that have been used for golf club face plates. This alloy is capable of high strength and hardness along with good levels of resistance to both general corrosion and stress-corrosion cracking. The excellent properties of Touralloy 230 Plus stainless are obtained through close control of chemical composition and microstructure plus specialized melting which reduces impurities and minimizes segregation. Compared to Carpenter's other face plate alloys, this alloy offers a high level of useful mechanical properties at a moderate level of alloying. Touralloy 230 Plus stainless has good fabrication characteristics and can be age-hardened by a single low temperature treatment. Cold work prior to aging increases the aging, especially for lower aging temperatures. The alloy, originally developed for high-strength aerospace components, may provide improved low cycle fatigue durability, compared to other traditional golf face plate alloys such as 17-4PH. |
